Stranded at the Dorm

I couldn't leave the dorm because of the tropical storm and I didn't have anywhere to go to anyway because it's shiftout weekend and all my classmates are cramming their requirements in their respective rotations. So I made dinner out of the things I found in the room. I had these ingredients for a pizza but having eaten home made pizza for the last 5 meals, I wanted something different.

Spicy Tomato Tuna Rice with Olives

I will definitely make this again in the near future. Next time, though, I'll probably use less tomato paste and more olives and maybe I'll add a vegetable.

How Journalists Get Revenge

Since so many journalists are getting killed in the Philippines because of politics, it was only a matter of time until they would fight back and kill politicians. And what a better target than the highest office in the land?

Adele first pointed it out in Facebook from an online source (the Inquirer website, I think) then it started sprouting everywhere else. In local TV, it came out multiple times. It also came out in Yahoo and CNN online articles. President Arroyo is Dead! The best would be the front page picture from the Manila Bulletin which is posted above. Hehehe.

Of course, President Arroyo didn't really die. Presidant Aquino did. Since they're both women and have names that have three syllables, start with the letter "A" and end with the letter "O", I guess the mistake wasn't that hard to make.

A lot of people in the Philippine media want Arroyo dead apparently (by virtue of the Freudian slip).

Life is Boring For A Medical Clerk On The Tail-End of A Mid-Year Vacation.

One more week till it all resumes.

I went to Batangas with some classmates over the weekend. Jolina was also there (the tropical storm) so the place was deserted. I didn't take any pictures since all of my friends brought their DSLRs with them but they still haven't uploaded.

Yesterday, I went to Ching and KC's to hang out (and plan the Surgery Rotation). We cooked spaghetti and made Leprechauns and Mojitos. We had to much food and drinks so Ching started calling everybody. Only Ibn came because everyone else was on duty in the hospital.

Today, I went to the college to finally finish all of my elective papers, which were due last Friday. I didn't get to do anything because the papers weren't forwarded by Dr Chan yet SO I have to wait until tomorrow for the papers to come back.

Other than that, all I do is sleep. I only eat when people offer me food.
