I was supposed to bring my dead cat home and tie up her arteries, but I intentionally forgot. So had nothing to do for the rest of the weekend. I started diving the net, and wo-hoo, look at what I found.
Alanguilan can make garbage and it still reads good. People have been recommending him to their psychiatrist friends. Stupid people. I've been collecting local ever since that Anthro 10 paper with Ape. So far, I've 3 Alanguilan's, a Pulumbaritt, a Vergara, 4 Arre's (that was expensive), ang the entire Cast and CCCom line. Except Cast Red.
But anyway, that has nothing to do with the weekend. A while ago, I was watching highlights from Cowboy Bebop, one of the four animes I invested in during my short anime collection phase around 2004.
I keep repeating Ep 3, where Faye pushes a button and her spaceship breaks through the casino lobby and a wonderful chase sequence starts. When that happens, a piano chord starts the jazz music. I've been trying to figure out that chord for 4 years now. So far, no chord. I'm not jazz enough.
Before that, I kept repeating Ep 5, where Spike falls from a round, stained glass window high up in a church. He falls slow-mo because he was shot in the chest. He throws grenades through the broken glass towards the person who shot him as he falls down, slow-mo. As soon as the glass shatters and the grenade pins hit the ground, a children's chorus starts. Nice.
I got tired after Ep 5 and switched to Lost. I only played one episode, Hurley's episode. My favorite. Maybe after 3 or 4 seasons (which will probably happen), Hurley will still be fat and alive and generally happy while the rest have become brainwashed cannibals or something.
I already know what the island is. It's a gigantic psychological experiment involving some dimension altering thing. Maybe a time machine or giant magnet or something. The clues are everywhere. Watership Down? A Wrinkle in Time? The Dharma Initiative? B.F. Skinner?
There's a guy named Locke for heaven's sake. It's about the real state of nature. It's an expanded Walden Two gone terribly wrong.
Oh well, another Sunday then it's the last two weeks of college.
Last lap. Run till you drop.
